Schley County and the City of Ellaville will hold a final public meeting as part of the process of updating the federally-mandated Draft Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Schley County/City of Ellaville for public comment. The original Plan has been updated to comply with a federal requirement that communities implement a locally developed pre-disaster mitigation plan in order to receive federal assistance to mitigate the adverse effects of potential disasters and/or for recovery in the event the community is included in a presidential disaster declaration. A copy of the proposed plan is available for review in the office of the county clerk. The meeting will be held at the Schley County Board of Commissioners meeting room, 14 South Broad Street Ellaville, GA, 31806 at 6:30 P.M. on February 27, 2023.
